What action do you carry out on land site that ca n’t be done at home?Tissue culture activity just can not be done at home at all . change plants takes place in a limited current hood in a aseptic setting . flora wo n’t halt growing because of Covid-19 , so all unconscious process , institution , sustenance and production must continue as well .
How does it experience to make for on internet site at this time?We have two locating , a laboratory in Andijk and one in Enkhuizen ( both in The Netherlands ) . Our team has been dissever between the two fix . So , we make for with a few co-worker but have n’t link with the quietus of the team for a farsighted time . In some mode this situation strengthen our signified of team spirit ; we prioritise the work – one team , one labor . Because of the smaller team setting , we help each other as much as we can . Of course , we keep our distance and follow all the Covid-19 precautionary measures .
What motivates you and keeps you going?Although you ca n’t cope with with all of your confrere , it is of import to stay in touch . This helps to keep up the squad spirit . Together we must stomach these surd time and our Passion of Christ for the job , Syngenta Flowers and for our team gives us metier !

What activity do you carry out on site that ca n’t be done at home?In the medium kitchen we create the growing media for plants and seed health checks . We make the growing media for multiple departments , so it is important that this unconscious process stay on so that other section can go forward to work as well . Since safety is our phone number one priority , we only allow two employee at a clip in the kitchen . Working this elbow room , we can keep our social distance at 1.5 meter .
How does it feel to make on site at this time?It is quiet in the building , which is a strange experience . In our section we are quite isolated and do n’t see any other people . It does gives me a satisfied tone however that because of our activeness other departments can continue their body of work as well . Our planning has become more flexible too in this time of sudden changes ; if a plant lading can not leave , we need to make supererogatory grow media so that the plant can still be transfer in our lab .
