Who We Are
On a late weekend – we had the uncommon occasion of have the weekend off . The kids had no softball or baseball game games scheduled . There were no schoolhouse event that we need to “ offer ” for 🙂 – and no shoes in picky we hadto be . So what did we do ?
Ok … in all probability more of who we are at the farm 🙂

Who We Are
Instead of those things that some might consider to be fun and restful , like sleep in or taking a miniskirt - vacation – we were out at the farm – influence together , and set in two full sidereal day mowing , horticulture , planting and dreaming .
And you bang why ? Because it is what WE TRULY LOVE ! It really is that round-eyed .
Some of our closest friends … and no – unfortunately , they do n’t help out on the farm

Ok…probably more of who we are at the farm 🙂
So many people who write to us at the blog from all over call for who we really are – and I have always call up the short tab on our web log entitled “ How It All Started ” articulate it well : We ’re far from “ flower child ” – we do n’t shoot for to survive off the “ grid ” , and in spite of our small fry and friends constant teasing – we do n’t care to make our wearing apparel from hemp . We ’re actually passably regular run of the John Mill people who have become committed to a more simple access to life and want to be responsible for a majority of the nutrient we eat – and help conserve the imagination we use up .
We both came from with child families who garden , and both have affectionate childhood memories of working alongside our parent in the garden and kitchen . We remember homegrown meal , and cracking wintertime dish made from the food we grew and canned in the summer . We both realize now that it was some of the skillful times we ever had , and strive to once again create a home that embraces those values responsibly . Simply put – to do things the best way potential for us and the land . Nothing more – and nothing less .
So as I write this tonight – I can tell you this is how we regard this preceding weekend of farm work . It was nothing short of dramatic ! sodding temperatures – beautiful sunny days – with no humidity – and doing what we both screw to do together – work on our farm . It is and will always be a work in progress – but each day it gets a little better – feeds us a little more – and makes our future a minuscule more certain and secure .

Some of our closest friends…and no – unfortunately, they don’t help out on the farm
So when friend enquire us why we work so hard at it – we usually just smile and say : “ it ’s never work – it ’s what we love to do ” And that really is who we are and why we do what we do .
