garden
No sign of Jack Frost yet , my local 10 sidereal day prognosis has all-night lows in double human body Celsius . Typical first rime day round here is mid October , so seems like it ’s warm than usual . Implications for the broader mood aside , this does think of I get to enjoy a splash of color for a fleck longer . Anyhow , time for another Six on Saturday . Six thing , in the garden , on Saturday . Could be anything , a good bloom , some fall colour , a good combination , a success , a failure , a project , anything at all . connect in !
Here are my Six .

1 . Mini dahlia . I bought this near death * for pennies somewhere or other , miscellanea not given . It is a teeny dahlia , it ’s no more than 6 , mayhap 8 inch high . I ’m not sure if that is characteristic of this mixed bag , or if this plant life is just a shrimp . I saidrunt . It did n’t do a good deal for a calendar month or two after implant but since then it has been bonk out flowers a couple at a sentence . I ’ll go away it in the ground , see if it exist the winter .
2 . Magnolia Charles Edward Berry . I did n’t know there were berries . Fairly certain I ’ve never point out Chuck Berry on this nanus magnolia . I might grab the source from them . Or I might not , it takes years and years to get one to flowering .
3 . Australian honeysuckle . This is in reality in next door ’s garden but it has fall flat over the fencing , lending me a piece of flowery color in tardy summer , early fall . This is especially welcome as my own nearby honeysuckle died ( I ’m ashamed to say it ’s still in the dry land , clutter up the place up ) . Next door ’s healthy specimen is almost done flowering now . I did lately buy a honeysuckle , a pity work bench problem that i have earmarked for the fenceline in Border 2 .

4 . Aster ‘ small carlow ’ . Again . The first meter I have this it had just started flowering , with a few flowers and lots of buds . It ’s deserving another look as it is flowering copiously , there must be hundreds of flowers on this little chemical group of two .
5 . Cosmos , var unk . I could n’t find the mailboat , it was n’t in my normal spot for used seed packets , so the smorgasbord is a whodunit . It has not been a great year for me and cosmos . I have managed to get just two or three plant to bloom from three mail boat of seed . I sow in this one back in June when I was planting out Border 8 in the front garden , it is the only inflorescence plant to result from that packet . Still , looks very well , a previous burst of colour .
6 . Witchhazel leaf . I do n’t think this is a tidy small Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree . The leave-taking take care pretty unappealing . I ’m going to dig it up and bin it at some point .

- the dahlia , not me . Although , it is possible that if Iwasnear death , buying a plant might still be mellow on my tilt of priorities .
