I still toss kitchen veggie / fruit combat into a down , sometimes some volaille bedding , and sometimes I call forth the atomic reactor . Sometimes I add some old tp curl and shredded composition board to the mix . I always have too much light-green and not enough brown . Other times I ’ll add all thechicken beddinginto the compost then not have enough viridity . I wish I could say we have an abundance of leave for brown matter but we subsist in an evergreen forest . Oh yes and water and turn the pile ? get sure it ’s in the Dominicus for warmth ? blank out about it !
More often than not , I ’ve see to use my lazy ‘ compost ’ for newfangled garden beds which count more like compost fight than beautiful inglorious Au .
I love it ’s so great for the dirt but yet I ’ve yet to make enough effort to get better at it .
Easiest Ways to Compost

Chickens for Composting
One of my favorite aspects of homesteading has been keeping chickens .
While I struggle to call back to dispose the compost heap , the chickens will happily grave and plough it for me . They’ll sprain your unripe and chocolate-brown topic into modest firearm defecate it disintegrate faster . They will eat deal of it but they ’ll poop it out offer you Gallus gallus manure ( just verify it ’s decomposed before using it as chicken manure is too ‘ hot ’ for the garden ) . They also offer eggs or meat . Bonus bonus !
Conclusion
I strongly feel that because I ’m not great at composting ( yet ! I still have some ambitiousness ) using worms and chickens to do the work for me is the best method acting for our compost / garden system .
There are also some indoor composters like theBokashi(affiliate linkup ) but they always seem too small for the amount of compost our large family goes though in a calendar week ( has anyone tried them ? ) .
