Today ’s photograph are from Donna Umland in Washington . She says,“My garden is located in eastern Washington state near Ellensburg , where my husband and I built our nursing home on three estate of open ambit lea 22 long time ago .

“ This area , known for its timothy hay yield , is very windy during springtime and summer and also has very belated give frosts that limit garden pick . The garden is a motley of shrub , perennial , and annual . I ’ve used many gage , which seem made for windy site . Roses also do well .

“ Many annuals , which I start in my greenhouse , can not be jell out until at least mid - May . As you’re able to see my garden is full ofVerbena bonariensis , which reseeds ubiquitously . I absolutely bed this scrim industrial plant and find it is so easy to displume up where I do n’t really need it . ”
