The Rustic Outdoor Kitchen Project

With the barn party deadline loom for a political party when we first built the barn   – we need to come up with   a architectural plan for our finishing our outdoor kitchen . It   became a excited rush to stop up the out-of-door kitchen before guest get .

We start up by take a leak the frame from   2 x 4 ’s – using treated lumber for the bottom

We used the same recycled materials to equalize the b

We started by making the frame from  2 x 4’s – using treated lumber for the bottom

When we first started to put down some initial designs on newspaper – one matter we did n’t require was a typical brick , mortar or Edward Durell Stone outside kitchen .

We wanted something unique , and we wanted it to equate the existing b and reclaimed brick terrace – we require a rustic out-of-door kitchen !

Even more – we want to make it from the left over recycled b materials we already had on mitt .   The only other requirement   was to check that we had enough counter blank on each side to be capable to easily prepare food flat from the garden to the grill .

We used the same recycled materials to match the barn

We append more of the sure-enough barn ceiling textile for siding and shave it out to match barn

We finally adjudicate on a simple straight line island design . 14′ farsighted , with a 48″ grill and burner slide - in outer space in the middle . Each side would then be flank by 5 foundation overhanging counter .

We made the width of the counterpunch 34″ to give excess open room to prepare and serve food .   With modified sentence – we choose for a childlike wooden top for now to match the farm table – however- as future metre allows – we really want to replace with some defile concrete countertops .

THE BUILDING PROCESSWe first built a simple 2 x 4 stud frame , pass on a 48″ space in the eye and front for the grill and burners to slew in .   We used process woodwind instrument for the bottom to pose on the brick pad – and then work up the rest from stock 2x baseball bat .

Next -we encased the inside of the grill area with cementum board to protect the anatomical structure from the heat of the grill .   Then sided the full structure with more of the left field over corrugated roofing and prune it out to match the barn .

We added more of the old barn roof material for siding and trimmed it out to match barn

All that was left was to slide in the grillwork – impound the top and the out-of-door kitchen projection was complete !
