The ' Know what you ’re growing ' ( Weet wat er leeft ) project aims to combine different monitoring data into one overview of species present in greenhouses . One of these data point streams come from automatic image credit . Bruce Schoelitsz , HAS green academy student , share developments made over the past class . One of the problems HAS green honorary society students encountered last class was the essence of bleached LED lighting in greenhouses on the carrying into action of the image recognition model . Insects in pictures of chicken sticky plates taken with speech sound were no longer recognised . A new grouping of students tackled this and investigate how to solve that problem . As it turned out , both using a strong outside flash , and adjusting the gloss of the picture in post - processing , secure that the insects were recognised just as well as under white Christ Within .
